The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (https://eas.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Ocean and Climate Sciences. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. We are seeking candidates who will make fundamental contributions in the broadly-defined area of ocean and climate sciences through a range of approaches including theory, observations, modeling and data sciences. The successful candidate will complement the existing expertise within the department, and the areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, physical oceanography and its role in climate dynamics, the cryosphere and sea level change, earth system modeling, and machine learning/artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will be expected to successfully develop and teach fundamental courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and make positive contributions to the School, Institute, and community. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
