The initial focus will be in the South Atlantic and will include an analysis of data from Argo floats to identify the importance of Indian Ocean waters in setting the properties of the upper 1000m.

The post will also contribute to the communication of these research tasks and the achievements of the broader projects (AtlantOS and SMURPHS) within which the tasks sit through publications and presentations.
