Postdoctoral Research Position – Rosenstiel School, University of Miami
We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join NSF project FOCUS, investigating oceanic variability across Florida Straits and its influence on sea level and coastal flooding. The postdoc will work with a continuous multi-year dataset of temperature, salinity, and geostrophic velocity derived from nine inverted echo-sounder moorings (CPIES) deployed across the Straits. Satellite and tide gauge observations will help relate processes in the Straits to local and regional climatic conditions. The postdoc will join research cruises and collaborate with graduate and undergraduate students. Experience in processing and analyzing
in situ ocean data in the context of geophysical dynamical processes is strongly desired. Please apply via the link below and send your resume and research statement to Lisa Beal lbeal@miami.edu.
