Postdoctoral Research Associate Position
A research associate is needed at the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, at the University of Colorado, to conduct innovative research in the area of Indian-Pacific Ocean circulation and ocean-atmosphere interaction, including the role of the Indian Ocean in the MJO initiation. The successful applicant will work with the Principal Investigator in collaboration with scientists at other institutions and research labs. Applications should include Curriculum Vitae with a publications list, 3 names of references, and a cover letter that describes previous and current research activities and the postdoc research work that you wish to purse at the University of Colorado.
At the time of appointment, the successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in ocean, atmospheric, climate sciences, or a related field. Statistical data analysis skills are required and modeling experience is preferred. Initial appointment is for one year and renewable for another year, contingent upon performance and availability of funds. Inquiries may be directed to Weiqing Han (whan@colorado.edu).
