MPOWIR WAVE Summit

In conjunction with the Ocean Sciences Meeting, MPOWIR is hosting its first international workshop, WAVE (Women Advancing Vision and Excellence), February 19-22, 2026.  Similar to the Pattullo Conference in format, we look forward to bringing together twenty early career scientists with Senior Leaders in the field for 2.5 days of mentorship, leadership training, and professional development.

There are limited spaces remaining. Eligible scientists are women and underrepresented genders studying Physical Oceanography in their final year of graduate school (within 1 year of completing the dissertation), in a postdoctoral position, or in a permanent position for no more than two years. This opportunity is open to all career tracks, and nationalities. Through the generous support of Schmidt Ocean Institute, we are able to support all participant accommodations and meals for the duration of the workshop.
