POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Departments of Astronomy and Earth & Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley invite applications for an Assistant Professor Faculty position as part of a campus-wide initiative to promote scientific discovery through data-driven science. We seek candidates from all areas of astronomy, astrophysics, earth and planetary science, with an emphasis on individuals who develop or apply modern data-science techniques or tools to make progress in their respective field of research. QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications(required at time of application) The basic qualifications required to be considered for this position are a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or enrollment in a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
Preferred qualifications: A Ph.D. or equivalent international degree is preferred by the date of hire.
