The rewards of being a faculty member at a primarily undergraduate institution (PUI) are many. However, the transition from graduate student or postdoc (usually at a large research institution) to faculty member at a PUI can be a challenging one. Information about the application process, teaching expectations, and research support can be hard to find. During this 1-hour town hall meeting, PUI faculty members at various career stages will share their stories, their tips for successfully obtaining a position at a small school, and their advice on making a successful transition. Questions from the audience will be accepted and encouraged.
