Postdoctoral Research Position in Physical Oceanography
A postdoctoral research position in physical oceanography is available at the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will investigate the oceanic transport of meltwater in the Labrador Sea. The work will build on the results of Luo et al. (Nature Geoscience, 2016) and focus on quantifying the different mechanisms controlling the export of low-salinity coastal water off Greenland. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physical oceanography or closely related field. Candidates with aptitude for analysis of extensive data sets and/or experience with numerical models are especially encouraged to apply. The position is initially for 12 months with possibility of extension for two additional years pending satisfactory performance.
