Postdoctoral fellowship in Ocean Dynamics and Modeling at the Naval Postgraduate School

Prof. Timour Radko announces a postdoctoral fellowship in Ocean Dynamics and Modeling at the Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, CA). The Radko group is involved in a series of predominantly numerical projects that include (i) detection and analysis of stratified wakes, (ii) dynamics of coherent oceanic vortices, and (iii) modeling of double-diffusive convection. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with faculty and students of the NPS Oceanography Department. The primary mission of NPS is the education of active duty Navy officers on topics related to national security.

Requirements: (i) PhD in Physical Oceanography, Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, or in other related field, (ii) experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics, and (iii) the ability to perform original research, both independently and as a part of a team, as indicated by the peer-review publication record.
