Ocean Science Research Associate at Cape Eleuthera Island School, The Bahamas

The Cape Eleuthera Institute (CEI) is seeking a full-time Research Associate to carry out activities related to marine science. The candidate will be primarily responsible for participating in the operations of underwater gliders to measure a suite of important oceanographic variables to improve hurricane prediction models. This project will be conducted in close collaboration with scientists of the Cooperative Institute of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (CIMAS) of the University of Miami and the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In addition to this project, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to run other independent research projects and will be expected to teach research-focused classes at the Cape Eleuthera Island School.
