MPOWIR Strategic Plan – Listening Sessions

As MPOWIR enters its 20th(!) year supporting the physical oceanography community, the program is actively engaged in a strategic planning process, initiated at the Ocean Sciences Town Hall in February 2024. Output from this process will guide the direction of MPOWIR moving forward.  

As part of the process we are hosting two listening sessions (March 18 and May 19). These opportunities will follow similar formats, and we invite you to attend one or both. Your contributions are invaluable in this process. There will also be opportunities to share your reflections asynchronously. The Draft Plan is linked here and more information will be posted to the website as it becomes available. MPOWIR only exists because of the continued investment by the physical oceanography community. The Steering Committee and Leadership Team look forward to engaging with you as we envision the future of this vital community.
