The Department of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Hull is seeking applications for a permanent lectureship (Assistant Professor) position to develop its Applied Mathematics provision. You will have a strong research record in areas including, but not limited to, mathematical modelling, data science, numerical analysis, and/or high performance computing. This is an opportunity to build your career by identifying and conducting your own and collaborative research projects, and by teaching students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. An interest in interdisciplinary research and potential industrial linkages is desirable.
The Department of Physics and Mathematics was established in August 2012 to further develop physics as a leading STEM subject and to re-introduce the teaching of mathematics degrees in the University of Hull.
