IXth International Symposium on Stratified Flows (ISSF) 2022
The IXth International Symposium on Stratified Flows (ISSF) will be held in Cambridge from Monday 29 August-Thursday 1 September 2022. The ISSF series has been tremendously successful in bringing together researchers from all over the world to discuss new exciting developments in stratified flows. Previous symposia have been in Novosibirsk (1972), Trondheim (1980), Pasadena (1987), Grenoble (1994), Vancouver (2000), Perth (2006), Rome (2011) and San Diego (2016). Originally scheduled to occur in 2021, the IXth ISSF will be a hybrid meeting at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) with accommodation at Churchill College (just across the road). There will be three parallel sessions for contributed talks considering stratified flows across the whole range of interest, from fundamental studies to applications across geophysics and industry, as well as a poster session. There will also be six plenary talks, including the IAHR Fluid Mechanics Committee Lecture by Professor Greg Ivey from the University of Western Australia.
Further information and registration (for both the conference and accommodation at Churchill College) is available at the Conference website:
