AGU Vice Chair Opportunity: OSM 2020

AGU is seeking self nominations from individuals interested in serving as Vice Chair for OSM 2020.

Be a part of planning the 2020 Ocean Sciences Meeting.

The Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) is a collaborative effort between the American Geophysical Union (AGU), Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), and The Oceanographic Society (TOS).  The Ocean Sciences section of the AGU will appoint an individual to serve as the Vice Chair for the 2020 OSM Program Committee. The AGU Vice Chair position will transition to the AGU Co-Chair for the 2022 OSM.  The time commitment for the Vice Chair and Co-Chair position is 4 years.

This announcement is to request self-nominations from candidates wanting to serve as the AGU Vice Chair for the 2020 OSM.  Vice Chair candidates must be an AGU member, have expertise in ocean sciences, be organized, and have leadership abilities.  For additional information or to be considered for this position, please send a curriculum vitae with a letter of interest outlining how your skill set, knowledge and abilities are appropriate for the OSM Vice Chair position to meetingsdirector@agu.org.

The application deadline is Thursday, 3 May 2018.  Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and notification of selection of the successful candidate will be in July 2018.
